A: Depending on weather, your attire will vary. In warmer months you can simply wear shorts, long sleeve / short sleeve shirt, and a light windbreaker jacket. In colder months you can wear full fishing gear: fishing pants or bib, warmer waterproof jacket. We require shoes to protect your feet. This can be water shoes, fishing boots, or sneakers. A hat and buff for sun protection is also recommended. Remember you will most likely get wet.
A: Definitely. Our base package does not include the fishing gear, so you can bring all your own gear. Each Seadoo Fishpro can hold 4 rod/reels. The large chest on the back of the ski can hold all of your tackle, lures, cut bait and tools.
A: Absolutely. Your JetskiFishing Guide will show you all the basics to have fun and get hooked up on fish. And remember, you are riding around on a jetski adventuring in the open ocean :) Now that is fun!
A: California Fish and Wildlife requires everyone to have a fishing license issued by the State of California. You must obtain this license and have it with you before you can leave the dock. Here is the link to obtain a license online:
California Wildlife Internet Sales Home (wildlifelicense.com)
If you cannot show us your fishing license, you cannot leave the dock.
A: This fishing adventure does not use live bait. We show you the latest techniques in jigging / trolling and the use of surface irons and lures. We also carry cut bait on the jetskis for bottom fishing.
A: No jetski experience is required. Your guide will show you everything you need to know to operate your Seadoo Fishpro.
A: No. Only 1 person can ride on a jetski for this adventure. No passengers are allowed.
A: 16 yrs old is the minimum age to operate a jetski in California per the United States Coast Guard.
A: Most likely you will get splashed when the seas get rougher. On calmer days you will stay drier. Remember, there is always a chance you will fall off your jetski, or fall in (when you are so excited reeling in your fish). This is an adventure. Plan accordingly, bring warm clothes and outer clothing that is water resistant, even when it is warm outside.
